Dr. Motaganahalli is a Professor of Surgery at the Indiana University School of Medicine and an Attending Vascular Surgeon at IU Methodist Hospital, where he serves as Division Chief of Vascular Surgery. He has led vascular surgery training programs at Indiana University as Program Director from 2012 to 2026, cultivating a legacy of surgical education and mentorship.

    Fabric of Vascular Surgery: Power of Passion and Perseverance

    The Presidential Address was focused on 1) how our specialty has been inclusive and strengthened by individuals with various backgrounds, 2) contributions made by the international medical graduates for furthering our specialty in terms of training the next generation of vascular surgeons in United States 3) Manpower issues facing our specialty and measures that need to be taken to address this shortage including a focus on recruiting women into our specialty.
