Investing in the Future of Vascular Surgery
The Presidential Address highlighted the value of mentorship, inclusivity, and education support in the field of Vascular Surgery. Dr. Aulivola illustrated the significant investment that the MVSS had made in the preceding years in recruitment and support of vascular surgeons with diverse backgrounds, skillsets and experience to strengthen the field and improve its delivery of high-quality patient care. She summarized the impact of significant health disparities in the patient population affected by vascular disease and the need for future generations of vascular surgeons to continue to improve the vascular care provided.
