Virtual Mock Orals
2024 Dates: Thursday, May 9 @ 5:00pm CST & Thursday, September 5 @ 5:00pm CST
The MVSS is pleased to offer the Virtual Mock Orals Exam twice this year to help accommodate more trainees.
The Mock Oral Exam provides trainees from across the Midwest an opportunity to experience the certifying exam format in three different rooms from six examiners from various academic and community programs. The trainees will likely be examined by someone not from their training program and will receive on-site feedback directly from the examiners to improve exam taking skills. Participation is limited to 15 Trainees per event on a first-come basis with priority given to those in their final year of training (ie. PGY 7 fellowship or 5th year, integrated vascular surgery residency).
WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE MAY MOCK ORAL EXAM. Check back soon for information to sign up for the September event.

Simulation & Technical Skills Assessment Program
Thursday, September 12, 2024 @ 7:00am – 11:30am (Day & Time are Tentative – May change based on final program)
Westin River North – Chicago, IL (During the MVSS Annual Meeting)
The Simulation and Surgical Skills Assessment Program will assess vascular fellow and senior resident skills in performing multiple open and endovascular procedures. The trainees will be assessed, and feedback sent to their program directors. Final results will be shared with the Program Director. Participation is limited to 20 Trainees on a first come basis with priority given to those in their final year of training (ie. PGY 7 fellowship or 5th year, integrated vascular surgery residency)
